Our Story
Let me give you a brief about our social organization Humaipur Prakash Foundation at first. ‘Prakash’ means “Promoting Adhikaar Kartavya Shiksha and Hariyali”. The purpose of our organization is clear in name. We want to make aware fellow citizens of their rights which the constitution has given them. Many people are still deprive of their due rights in the country. We are standing by their side as much as we can. It’s good to be aware of rights but not to forget about duties. Prakash Foundation is committed to make citizens dutiful towards motherland and society. We are a patriotic youth organization. Swami Vivekananda, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose and great patriots Martyrs like Bhagat Singh, Surya Sen and Binay-Badal-Dinesh are our ideals and source of inspiration. Our main goal is to awaken patriotism and philanthropy in the youth. But conveying the real idea of these rights and duties to the lowest strata of society is not an easy task. So we want the light of education. Education is progress. Education is the logistic of moving forward. Education is capable of imparting real knowledge of rights and duties to the society. Education is developed in a healthy, fresh, green environment. Sick, opaque environment is an obstacle to education. Needs a green, fresh, healthy environment. Want Hariyali. In other words, it is the duty of the society to spread education in a healthy and fresh environment. That is why Humaipur Prakash Foundation is working day and night to promote the Rights (Adhikaar), Duties (Kartavya), Education (Shiksha) and Greenery (Hariyali) for all. On 27th May, 2017, the Prakash Foundation made its debut as a dream come true for five youths in Jalpaiguri District. On 5th June, 2018, Humaipur Prakash Foundation was approved as a registered organization under the West Bengal Society Registration Act 1961. At present, the head office of the organization is stationed at Sree Nagar No. 3, Humaipur, Madhyamgram, North 24 Parganas District, West Bengal. Humaipur Prakash Foundation also has 24 unit in 17 districts of the state. The units are Alipurduar, Coochbehar, Mekhliganj, Haldibari, Jalpaiguri, Maynaguri, Dhupguri, Rajganj, Siliguri, Phanshidewa-Matigara, Uttar Dinajpur, Malda North, Malda South, Birbhum, Murshidabad, East Bardhaman, Bankura, Purulia, Paschim Medinipur, Purba Medinipur, Kolkata Area, Kolkata Central, Howrah and Hooghly. At present Humaipur Prakash Foundation with more then Seven Hundred members is engaged in day and night service from hills to sea, jungle to rough plateau.
Promoting Adhikaar, Kartavya, Shiksha and Hariyali
Swamiji says, “Arise! Awake! And do not stop until the goal is reached. All power is within you; you can do anything and everything.” The mission of the Prakash Foundation is to build a inclusive society, a society where each and every citizen can exercise their rights, where everyone will be steadfast in their duties, where the spread of education will be the best, and where the environment will maintain the balance of nature and the ecosystem. The activities of the Prakash Foundation will continue until this goal is achieved. We will not give up, even in the face of hundreds of crises. We shall overcome someday.
We are the sons of the soil where many eternal souls have fought for humanity and patriotism. This soil is the birthplace of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Binay-Badal-Dinesh, Khudiram Bose, and Master Da Surya Sen. They sacrificed their lives in the service of humanity and their country. In independent India, the youth may not have to struggle for independence, but the daily struggle for food, clothing, shelter, medical care, and education continues. Prakash Foundation aims to be a co-soldier of every human being in that fight. From the young to the old, all members of Prakash Foundation devote their lives and consider engagement in human welfare as true social service.
